A multi-genre performance that weaves together themes of racism, family, and the triumph of the human spirit, to bring a message of hope for what comes 'after' when the 'before' has been tragic. Combining dance, theatre, an original score, poetry, film, art, and incorporating ASL signing for the deaf, this work in progress invites your participation.
About Me
Artistic Director
Andrea is the producer, writer, and creative force behind 'As If We Live To Bear No Scars.' She has been an artist, writer, and poet for 25 years. She is also a WGA-registered screenwriter. Working in a variety of media, including plaster, copper, epoxy, textiles, audio, video, and text, she has been exhibiting her work nationally since 1985. Additionally, Andrea is a psychotherapist in private practice for 23 years, specializing in dissociative disorders and PTSD. A feminist and solar energy activist and entrepreneur, she has spoken at international forums on women and energy. She lives with her three children in Jamaica Plain (Boston).
